Tim Atkin “Chile is beginning to reach its true potential”
The respected British wine critic Tim Atkin launched his latest report abaout Chilean wines.
An intense period of three weeks of tastings, talks and visits, where he found a landscape very different from the last time in our country, led to reflect in his report 750 labels of 131 national wineries.
This year we had the pleasure of receiving Tim, who together with Gonzalo Guzmán, Chief Winemaker, tasted the new harvest of the Maipo Andes. Again surprised by what Chile is reaching in its wines, he rated Memorias 2014 with 90 points and selected El Principal 2014 within the Blend of the Year with 94 points.
Atkin feels that Chile is moving forward from “the Volvo of the wine industry.” to something with “more speed, style and danger. “
